See what time changes before you choose.
Materials that serve the same purpose age differently as daily use and cleanup habits pile up. Materialapse puts the difference side by side.
The experience
Choose a material
Choose a surface, flooring or fabric. Two materials stay side by side in the same view.
Set the use environment
Choose a use pattern based on days in use and average cleanup time, then move from one day to five years.
Observe the change
Inspect the marks left by stains, acid, heat, scratches, moisture and wear. Each mark accumulates with represented use.
The model
Events become material response
The simulator turns the use environment into exposure events and applies a response coefficient per material. Damage builds up between 0 and 1 like this:
new change = 1 − (1 − previous change) × exp(−exposure × response) Surfaces use event locations, intensity and cleanup delay. Flooring and fabric use monthly exposure. The same seed applies the same conditions to both materials for a fair comparison.
What the result means
Published standards and care guides back up how the model behaves. The values and marks are for comparison, not a prediction of a specific product’s life, warranty or performance.
Evidence and assumptions
Source tiers and model assumptions are shown in the evidence panel. Unknown performance is not filled in with an invented number.
